As an OFTEC registered company, we ensure that any components fitted during our visit are of the highest standard. Part of our visit includes the commissioning of your boiler, thus ensuring the correct combustion and maximum efficiency is achieved.
Our fully professional service will be carried out with the minimum of disruption to your business. Depending on the type of boiler you have, our service will include aspects of the following:-
- Removal of the burner from boiler
- Cleaning of the primary air combustion fan and housing
- Replacing the burner

Cleaning the electrodes, checking the spark plug and replacing if defective

Checking the flame failure operation and safety cut off

Replacing defective burner oil filter elements and nozzles

Cleaning all boiler flueways up to and including the first flue bend

Cleaning combustion space

Inspecting the refractory brickwork and reporting if defective

Refitting of the burner, including a fire up and test

Carrying out a full combustion test and recording the results

Checking the fire valves for correct operation and condition of firewire

Checking the boiler plant room ventilation

Checking all the electrical controls

Checking the header tank and cold water supply tank valves for correct operation

Replacing the oil tank filter element, if fitted

Checking the oil line for any leaks

Labelling the boiler with the date the service was carried out

Visual inspection of the oil tank and report anything that contravenes current building regulations
Please be aware that this procedure will vary from one appliance to another. Our engineers will also ensure that the boiler plant room is left in a clean and tidy condition on completion of the service.
When the anniversary of the service date is approaching, Chalder Engineering Ltd will contact you to arrange the next service, thus ensuring your boiler is always operating at its optimum level.
